ARGINAID® is a fat free arginine powder designed for people with chronic wounds. Suitable for oral or tube feed use and provides 0.11 kcal/mL.  Mixes quickly and easily with water.

ARGINAID® powder is a medical food arginine module specially formulated for the dietary management of altered physiologic or metabolic conditions that respond to increased arginine intake.

Nitrogen information:

  • One serving of ARGINAID® powder provides 4.5g of the amino acid L-arginine (1.4 grams nitrogen)
  • A single amino acid does not meet the dietary requirement for protein.

Due to the moderate acidity (pH 3.0-4.0) of Arginaid®, consult with a medical professional prior to use in a surgical jejunostomy.

ARGINAID® is a food for special medical purposes specifically formulated with L-Arginine for the nutritional management of wounds. Must be used under medical supervision. Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition. Contains Phenylalanine.

CLINICAL INDICATIONS

  • Burn injury
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Skin breakdown
  • Ulcers on legs and feet
  • Chronic and slow to heal wounds (i.e. take more than 4-6 weeks to heal)

STIR BRISKLY BEFORE USE

Mix one pack (9.2g) with 177 to 237mL of water, stir briskly and consume.

Two separate servings of ARGINAID® per day.

Servings may vary according to individual assessment by a qualified health care provider.

Storage: Store unopened powder packets in a cool dry place.After mixing, cover and refrigerate any unused portion. Use within 24 hours. Stir briskly before use.

Orange Flavour:  L-arginine, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Sodium Ascorbate, Maltodextrin, and less than 2% of modified Food Starch, Dl-Alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate, Aspartame, Acesulfame Potassium, natural and artificial flavour Colour (Beet Juice, Turmeric and Annatto Extracts).
