A hypoallergenic amino acid based formula for children (1-10 years) with severe cow's milk protein allergy, eosinophilic oesophagitis, multiple food protein allergy and intestinal malabsorptive conditions

ALFAMINO® Junior is nutritionally complete and suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition. Only suitable from 1 year onwards. Not for intravenous use. When used as tube feeding, do not add drugs or other foods to the product.

ALFAMINO® Junior is a food for special medical purposes specifically formulated for children with severe allergy and/or malabsorption.

Energy Density = 1 kcal/ml = 4.2 kJ/ml

CLINICAL INDICATIONS

  • Severe cow's milk protein allergy (including anaphylaxis)
  • Eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE)
  • Multiple food protein allergy
  • Severe intestinal malabsorption

CONSULT FEEDING TABLE ON THE CAN

Average Scoop Size = 5.2g

Preparation:

  1. Wash hands before preparation. Wash container thoroughly.
  2. Boil drinking water for 5mins, allow to cool.
  3. Consult feeding table, pour exact amount of lukewarm water (40°C) into a clean container. Only use scoop from this can and level using the inner rim.
  4. Consult feeding table, add exact number of level scoops for the age of child. Replace lid firmly. Shake container vigorously until powder fully dissolved, feed immediately.
  5. Close the can tightly after each use and store in a cool dry place, before and after opening.

All prepared products should be tightly covered and consumed within 4 hours at room temperature or within 24 hours if refrigerated. Use by date indicated on bottom of can.

NOTE: Do not change proportions.  Follow feeding instructions.  Use only enclosed scoop.

Storage:  Store in a cool dry place and use within 4 weeks of opening.
